“Thank you for supporting
the Swarm and believing in
this program. I learned
overall to be a better

Since 2001, several dozen of
the
Lost
Boys of Sudan
have been members of Corpus
Christi parish. Known
for their faith in God,
in spite of all they endured
as mere youngsters, they are
impressive as well for their
industriousness. In
January, 2005, the
government of Sudan and SPLM/A
rebels signed the
Comprehensive Peace
Agreement. The Lost
Boys, feeling it is
their responsibility to
rebuild their country,
regions and communities are
in the process of
establishing the
Rumbek
Orphaned Chidren's Fund.

Current Parish Bulletin
7-20-2008
SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY
- 10:00 – 11:00 am in the
classrooms off the Stone
Mountain Room. The current study
is the Book of Judges. It
includes 12 heroes who are
military leaders sent by God to
help his people in times of
danger. The purpose of this book
is to show what happened when
Israel obeyed or disobeyed God’s
law.
Dr. Luke Johnson, Emory U., 1996
“Stories Do Shape Our
Characters.”
From the Parish Health Corner
Balance of Mind + Body + Spirit = Good Health
Mind:
Things that matter most must
never be at the mercy of things
that matter least. Goethe
Body:
For the best stress relief
possible, cultivate an attitude
of prayer. It doesn’t matter
what words you use – the thing
that makes the difference is
what you believe in your heart
when you pray. Praying (talking
to God) might not actually
change the situation you are
facing, but it changes your
attitude about it – or in other
words how you react to it.
Spirit:
[O God} help me to believe the intensity, the
eternity of the love that has
found me. Then love will cast
out fear; and my troubled heart
will be at peace, trusting not
in what I am but in what You
have declared yourself to be.
Amen.
AW Tozer
Did you know?
In the third year of CC’s
existence, it was decided that
although the official birthday
of CC is July 11th,
the second Sunday in July each
year would be the celebration
day. Somewhere along the way,
this tradition seems to have
been lost in the shuffle.
JULY LECTOR’S MEETING -
Continuing formation for the
role of lay lector will take
place on
Tuesday, July 29, 7:30 - 9:30 pm
in rooms 6/9 located behind the
Stone Mountain Room.

STEWARDSHIP
- An Invitation to Give
God Bless you for remembering that our church’s operating costs
don’t go on Summer Vacation.
Perpetual Adoration:
A small child came into the
chapel while I was there. Her
grandmother pointed to the Host
and said, “That is Jesus”. The
little girl just looked in awe
at the host and as they were
leaving the child said, “This is
Jesus’ special home.” Jesus is
truly and substantially present
in the Blessed Sacrament, Body,
Blood, Soul and Divinity. Come
and visit Jesus at his ‘special
home’; He would welcome your
presence. Call Chris Paciorek at
770-469-6535 for more
information. God bless you.
