The girl’s Summer Swarm is just winding up its second year and the Boy’s Swarm ended its fourth very successful run. Many of you helped support these two very good programs, either financially or by making presentations to the young people, and we sincerely thank you. The Claretian Missionaries have given $6000.00 to the program, so there will be no expenses taken out of our parish operating budget.
I thought you might enjoy reading the Thank-You Comments from the young men who attended the Swarm this year:
“Thank you for your donation and contributions to the Swarm. From this program I personally learned a lot about unit cohesion, leadership, and that you should always show infinite compassion for all of God’s children.” (Robert A. Campbell)
“With the mission of promoting self-discovery, leadership, and the development of good long lasting relationships, I can say all of this and more was met at the Swarm. From my experience in the Swarm I can say that I’ve grown as a person in that I have become more compassionate and tolerant of others and the range of beliefs they carry. I know none of this would be possible if it were not for your generous donation. From all of the boys here at Swarm and for myself, I sincerely appreciate all you have done to make Swarm happen. We learned how to interact with others, work together as a unit and get things done, and over the course of the program we all learned something valuable from each other.
